Ron MacLean headlines nominations for Canadian Screen Awards

Canadian Sportsnet Hockey Night and Rogers Hometown hockey host Ron MacLean have been nominated for the Best Host Award at the Canadian Screen Awards.

The Canadian Academy of Film and Television wrote when it announced the appointment of Ron, who identified recognizable land at the most important squat and most athletic standard for Canadians.

In total, Sportsnet received nine nominations for various broadcasting services in 2018.

Jim Hughson was nominated for his work on Hockey Night in Canada for Best Play by Play Announcer.

Elliotte Friedman has been nominated in the Best Sports Analyst category for his work on the Hockey Night in Canada.

Sherali Nejak, Brian Spear, Ron Forsythe and Ed Hall have been nominated for the Best Live Sports Event for their production of the fifth Stanley Cup final match between the Washington Capitals and the Golden Knights of Vegas.

Jeremy McElhanney, Ryan Knight, John Woo, Mark Wade, Stephen Brunt and Marc Leblanc were nominated for the best sports program or series for their feature film I Am: Auston Matthews.
